About The Founder

Nikita Bansal’s two decade long journey blends innovation with tradition, bringing Indian crafts to a global audience. Growing up in Assam, surrounded by bamboo and cane artistry, she was inspired to pursue design at NIFT Bangalore, focusing on Lifestyle Accessory Design. Her early work involved collaborating with artisans across India on government projects. At FabIndia, she refined her approach, merging traditional and modern aesthetics. Later, with Basant’s Orange Tree, she gained insights into scaling Indian crafts globally. In 2024, she launched Yaahvi by Nikita Bansal, creating timeless, modern lighting and décor.

Design Philosophy

Nikita’s design process centres on research and immersion, delving into each collection’s concept and materials to authentically reflect her vision. Her minimalist style celebrates simplicity, preserving the essence of traditional crafts. This approach ensures her products blend effortlessly with various interior styles while retaining a unique character. Her human-cantered designs tell stories, infusing warmth and personality into the spaces they inhabit, making each piece feel both timeless and personal.
